§ 7-4-13 TRUCK TRAFFIC.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to operate a truck or other commercial vehicle upon any street within the village which weighs in excess of 15,000 pounds per axle, including any load. Any truck or other commercial vehicle traveling to or from a pick-up or delivery at a site within the village is exempt from the weight limit set forth above.
   (B)   Either the owner or the driver of a truck or other commercial vehicle operated in violation of this section may be prosecuted for such violation.
   (C)   Any person, firm, or corporation convicted of any violation of this section shall be fined according to the same schedule found at § 15-113 of the state’s Vehicle Code (Ill. Rev. Stat. Ch. 95-1/2, Par. 15-113), as amended.
   (D)   Signs conforming to the requirements in the state’s Manual on Uniform Traffic-control Devices for Streets and Highways, giving notice of the foregoing weight limitations, shall be posted at all entrances to the village.
