Subject to the requirements of § 11-1426.1 of the state’s Vehicle Code (625 ILCS 5/11-1426.1), hereby adopted by the village, drivers properly licensed to operate motor vehicles are authorized to operate non-highway vehicles on the streets of the village having a posted speed limit of 35 mph or less. A non-highway vehicle shall be permitted to make a direct crossing of a state highway only at an intersection controlled by a traffic light or four-way stop sign where the state highway has a speed limit of 25 mph or less at the place of crossing.
