(a) All members of the Volunteer Fire Department who have not already completed the required 30-hour course in fire-fighters training, as specified by the Insurance Service Organization of Ohio, must agree, in writing, to voluntarily take such training under the conditions set forth in this section.
(b) The Village shall pay one-half of the cost of such training for each individual fire-fighter or prospective fire-fighter, and the Department shall pay the remaining one-half of the cost.
(c) No individual presently in the Department shall remain a fire-fighter, nor shall anyone be appointed to the Department, unless he or she has first complied with division (a) of this section.

(d) The requirements of this section are in addition to any requirements imposed by State law with respect to training of fire-fighters.
