243.03   POWERS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SAFETY SERVICES DIRECTOR.
   The Safety Services Director shall have the administrative supervision of the Police Department and Fire and EMT Department and shall be responsible to the Mayor for the enforcement of all regulations and the execution of all work of these Departments. The Safety Service Director, with consent of the Mayor, may establish, implement, modify and enforce any and all rules, regulations, policies and procedures; and will have the authority to recommend to the Mayor and Council hiring, termination and discipline of Department personnel. The Safety Services Director shall perform such other duties, consistent with the office, as may be required by law, Charter, ordinance of Council or as directed by the Mayor.
