A uniform ordinance summons is hereby adopted pursuant to S.C. Code § 56-7-80, as amended, with the following stipulations:
(A) The City Administrator shall have responsibility for the ordinance summons, and shall insure that a complete audit of the ordinance summons shall be completed on an annual basis by the city's independent auditor;
(B) The Finance Director shall be responsible for having the ordinance summons printed, issuing the same and keeping a record of the ordinance summons issued to city code enforcement officials;
(C) All code enforcement officials issuing ordinance summons shall be responsible for forwarding the copy of the ordinance summons labeled “Court Copy”, to the Municipal Court within 24 hours of issuing the ordinance summons. It shall also be the code enforcement official’s responsibility to retain the copy of the ordinance summons labeled “Officer Copy” until the designated hearing time, and after all action concerning the ordinance summons has been concluded, the code enforcement official shall deliver the “Officer Copy” to the Finance Director within 24 hours for the proper accounting of the same;
(D) The form of the ordinance summons shall be substantially the same (sequentially numbered, in triplicate) as the form which is attached hereto, and incorporated herein by reference. The ordinance summons shall clearly indicate by printing that such is an ordinance summons of the City of Goose Creek, South Carolina; and
(E) The City Administrator may promulgate additional administrative regulations for the proper handling of the ordinance summons.
