(a) To participate in federal Forfeitures and to meet any requirements of the Department of Justice, there is hereby established the Federal Law Enforcement Trust Fund. This Fund shall hold monies received from the sale of forfeited assets which may represent the Village’s equitable share of such Forfeitures.
(b) Disbursements from this Fund shall only be made consistent with the policies and guidelines of the Department of Justice primarily focusing upon the use of such funds to support law enforcement activities, community education and drug enforcement.
