The provisions of Ohio R.C. 737.15 which require a residency for the Village Marshall (Chief of Police) are hereby waived. As a result, the Mayor may proceed as deemed appropriate to interview appropriate candidates for recommendation and with the advise and consent of Council pursuant to statute. Such Chief of Police will not be required to be a resident at the time of application nor at the time of appointment.
