Any person or entity desiring to use a fire hydrant owned and maintained by the Village of Golf Manor shall make application for such usage in advance of such use to the Golf Manor Fire Department. Such application shall be accompanied by a fifty dollar ($50.00) fee, which fee shall be retained by the Village as a part of its general fund as a set-off against the cost to repair and maintain such fire hydrants within the Village. Within such application, the person or entity shall be appropriately identified by name, address and phone number, and for a corporation or other entity, the name of the principal officer shall be listed. Additionally, the application shall identify the date or dates of such intended use, the purpose for which such use is intended, and it shall include a copy of documentation or other permit from the Cincinnati Water Works authorizing metered use of the hydrant in question. The application also shall be accompanied by a certificate of insurance which provides appropriate general liability insurance coverage for the person or entity to assure the Village against any damage caused by the negligent use or other misuse of the fire hydrant. Absent a certificate of general liability insurance, such proposed user shall provide a surety bond in the minimum amount of two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500) to the Village, which bond shall assure their appropriate use of the fire hydrant or provide indemnification to the Village for the negligent use or misuse of such fire hydrant to cover any damage necessary to repair or replace such fire hydrant.
