3-1-2: PAYMENT OF LICENSE FEE; ISSUANCE OF LICENSE; EXPIRATION:
   A.   It is unlawful for any person, firm, association, or corporation to engage in, exercise, or pursue any business, profession, trade, occupation, or privilege for which a license fee is required by section 3-1-1 of this chapter or by any other ordinance or ordinance provision without paying the license fee and securing and possessing a valid license therefor. Upon making proper application to the city clerk, the payment of the license fee, and fulfillment of any other condition which may be prescribed by law and/or ordinance, the city clerk shall issue a license therefor.
   B.   Annual licenses shall expire on June 30 of each year. When an annual license is issued after December 31 for the remainder of the license year, the license fee shall be one- half (1/2) of the established fee. (2002 Code § 5.04.020; amd. 2013 Code)
