6-2-2: ERECTION OF SIGNS:
Provisions of this chapter and of any ordinance or act of the city council limiting parking time or prohibiting parking at designated locations shall not be effective until appropriate signs giving notice thereof are erected and in place at the time of any alleged offense; provided that the provisions of this section shall not apply to the provisions of section 6-3-6 of this title regarding the parking of bicycles; section 6-1-5 of this title regarding parking in specified places; section 6-2-6 of this chapter regarding restricted parking; section 6-2-20 of this chapter regarding the parking of trucks in residential districts; section 6-2-21 of this chapter regarding the parking of trucks giving off offensive odors; section 6-2-22 of this chapter regarding parking for camping purposes; section 6-2-15 of this chapter regarding loading or unloading of vehicles; section 6-2-16 of this chapter regarding loading zones; section 6-2-17 of this chapter regarding public carrier stands, and other locations where parking is otherwise limited or prohibited by ordinance or law. The office of the public works director shall be responsible for the proper signing of streets as required herein. (Ord. 02-2003, 5-20-2003)
