A. Appointed Members: One of the members of the board of trustees of the police pension fund appointed by the village president shall serve for a term of one year commencing on the second Tuesday in May 1966, and the other appointed members shall serve for a term of two (2) years commencing on the same date. At the time of their appointment, the village president shall designate which member shall serve for which term. The successors of the first appointed members of the board shall serve for two (2) years each or until their successors are appointed and qualify.
B. Elected Members: The elected members of the board of trustees of the police pension fund shall be elected for a term of two (2) years beginning on the second Tuesday of the first May after such election. (1978 Code § 2-7-2)
