A. Regular Meetings: The regular meetings shall be held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month of the year, with the exception of the month of July and the fourth Tuesday in December, at seven o'clock (7:00) P.M. at the Glendale Heights Civic Center. Any regular meeting falling on a legal holiday shall be held on the next secular day at the same hour and place.
B. Committee Meetings: Committee meetings shall be held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month of the year, with the exception of the month of July and the fourth Tuesday in December, immediately following the regular planning and zoning commission meeting, or at seven o'clock (7:00) P.M. at the Glendale Heights Civic Center if there is no regular meeting.
C. Special Meetings: Special meetings may be called by the chair or any three (3) members of the planning and zoning commission. Each member shall be advised in writing at least forty eight (48) hours before the time fixed for such meeting of the purpose of such meeting and the time and place of holding the same. If any such notice cannot be personally delivered, then a copy of the same may be left at the residence of such commission member with a person in his family over the age of ten (10) years. Public notices shall be properly posted, and the provisions of the open meetings act 1 , shall be satisfied. Only that business designated for which the special meeting was called shall be addressed at that special meeting.
D. Quorum: No action shall be taken by the planning and zoning commission except at a duly constituted meeting wherein a quorum of a majority of commissioners then appointed, which shall consist of no less than four (4) members, is present.
E. Expeditious Action: The planning and zoning commission shall act expeditiously on matters referred thereto after allowing for publication as required by law. (Ord. 2013-65, 10-17-2013; amd. Ord. 2023-57-9-7-2023)
