10-16-1: PERMIT REQUIREMENTS:
   A.   Permit Required: No building or other structure shall be moved into, over, across or along any street, alley or other public place in the village without there first having been secured a permit therefor from the village administrator. (1978 Code § 8-6-1)
   B.   Application For Permit: Application for a permit to move a building or other structure shall be made on forms furnished by the village administrator. Such application shall give complete details as to the size and weight of the structure, the proposed route and proposed schedule for moving. (1978 Code § 8-6-2)
   C.   Permit Fee: The fee for a permit required by this chapter shall be as provided in subsection 10-1-8-1M of this title. (1978 Code § 8-6-3; amd. 2011 Code)
   D.   Bond And Insurance Required:
      1.   Bond: Before any permit is issued granting authority to move any house or other building, the person engaged in the work of moving the same shall file with the village administrator a bond in the amount provided in section 4-4-2 of this code to indemnify the village against any loss, cost, damage or expense of any kind whatsoever which the village may suffer by reason of or on account of anything done other than by virtue of any permit granted for such moving operations.
      2.   Insurance: In addition, said person shall file with the village administrator a certificate of insurance giving evidence of adequate liability and property damage insurance to indemnify the village in case of any accidents or damage occurring in conjunction with or as a result of such moving operations. Limits of liability shall be in the minimum amounts of five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000.00) for injury to any person, one million dollars ($1,000,000.00) for any one occurrence and one million dollars ($1,000,000.00) for damage to property. This coverage shall be specified to include broad form property damage. (1978 Code § 8-6-4; amd. 2011 Code)
