§ 130.30 DISCHARGING GUNS AND OTHER OBJECTS.
   (A)   (1)   Shooting of torpedoes or any combustives is prohibited within the city limits.
      (2)   The shooting of any airguns, popguns or any other kinds of guns loaded with lead or other hard substance is prohibited within the city limits, except upon land, consisting of 40 or more contiguous acres, zoned for agricultural use.
      (3)   Anyone violating this section shall be fined as set forth in § 130.99.
   (B)   This section does not apply to use of fireworks, as defined in KRS 227.700.
   (C)   This section shall not apply to the discharge of a BB gun by a property owner or person lawfully in possession of real property, for the purpose of discouraging the roosting or gathering of blackbirds and/or starlings on the property, provided, however, that, the use of the BB gun for the purposes herein described must:
      (1)   Be by a person over the age of 21 years; and
      (2)   Be directed in a manner as to not subject any other person to unreasonable risk of harm.
   (D)   This section shall not apply to the discharge of firearms for the limited purpose of hunting wildlife on the airport property by permit, so long as those individuals hunting are in compliance with the rules and regulations adopted by the Glasgow Airport Board and all federal, state and local laws regarding firearms and the hunting of wild game. Further, the method of hunting authorized hereby shall be by bow or the use of a shotgun with BB shot and no slug or other projectile. (A copy of the rules and regulations adopted by the Glasgow Airport Board is attached to Ord. 2677 and is available for public inspection during normal business hours at the office of the City Clerk/Administrator.)
