(a) The Administration of the City of Girard shall retain authority to select from those applications and appoint from those submitting applications and further that said list obtained from said advertising shall remain active for one year for each vacancy provided, however, that each position shall be re-advertised at the time of the vacancy.
(b) All vacancies for employment in the City of Girard excluding appointed department heads and further excluding those filled through the Civil Service and those filled by union posting method shall be advertised as available through the Girard News and/or written media for three consecutive weeks in weekly publication or one consecutive week in a daily publication. Also the Bulletin Board in the Girard City Building.
(c) Said advertisement shall include a job description, title, qualifications and proposed hire date.
(d) The notice to be published shall further include a statement that the City of Girard is an equal opportunity employer and further complying with equal opportunity and anti- discrimination employment guidelines.
(e) All interested persons shall be given an application from the Administrative Secretary upon request.
(f) The City Auditor is directed to insure this section has been complied with before entering said new City Employee on the payroll. (Ord. 6525-94. Passed 11-14-94.)
