A site/property recommendation that meets the criteria for a listing, as determined by the Committee, shall henceforth be deemed a “Girard Historic Place,” and shall be listed as such. A permanent marker announcing and describing the site’s listing and significance shall be placed on or near the public right of way for public access. The Committee may encourage property owners to attach markers to buildings or structures. This practice would be strictly voluntary.
