(a) All full-time employees of the Fire Department shall work a "three platoon system" wherein the members work twenty-four consecutive hours immediately followed by forty-eight consecutive hours off duty.

(b) The standard work week for firemen in the Girard Fire Department shall be fifty-four hours; provided, however, that the scheduling of personnel with the Department shall remain the responsibility of the Fire Chief pursuant to Ohio Law.
