The Director of Safety and Human Resources shall be appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the Mayor. Said Director’s duties include but are not limited to supervision and management of the City’s safety forces; and shall direct the newly established office of personnel. The Director shall negotiate all employee contracts, and administrate the overall function of employee policy and management. The Director of Safety and Human Resources shall direct the newly established office of Economic Development, the duties of which include but are not limited to creation of an Economic Development Campaign, securing of property for a future commerce park and attracting new business to the City.
