(a) There is hereby created the position of Assistant City Director of Law and Prosecutor, the purpose of which is to provide legal services to the Municipal Court and to furnish services as required by law or by the City Director of Law.

(b) The Assistant Director of Law and Prosecutor shall be appointed, subject to the approval of Council by the duly elected and qualified Director of Law and shall serve at the discretion of and under the control of the Director of Law.

(c) The Director of Law is hereby authorized to appoint an additional Assistant Director of Law to substitute in the absence of the duly appointed Assistant Director of Law assigned to the Municipal Court.
