111.01  CLERK.
   (a)   There is hereby created the position of Clerk of Council who shall also be recording secretary to the Planning Commission and the Board of Zoning Appeals.
 
   (b)   The Clerk shall take and transcribe minutes of Council meetings; write letters and other notices requested by Council; prepare and send out the packets containing the agenda, minutes, communications and copies of ordinances for each Council meeting; and shall perform all other necessary tasks requested by Council.
 
   (c)   The Clerk shall, in addition, perform the same duties for the Planning Commission and the Board of Zoning Appeals.

   (d)   The Alternate Clerk of Council shall assume the same duties as the Clerk.  The salary of the Alternate Clerk of Council shall be payable from the sources and in the manner as has been the practice of the City.  The Alternate Clerk of Council shall not receive any benefits.
