(a) Public Notification.
(1) Regular meetings. The time, place and date of all regular meetings of the municipal public bodies shall be noted in a calendar of monthly meetings to be prepared and maintained by the Clerk of Council. The calendar shall be posted in the City Hall and the Girard Free Library and published in a newspaper of general circulation at least five days prior to the first day of the month in which the meetings are to be held.
(2) Special meetings. Notification of any special meeting of any public body shall be made to any news media requesting such notification twenty-four hours prior to the time of such meeting.
(3) Emergency meetings. Notice of any emergency meeting shall be communicated to the news media that have requested notification of the time, place and purpose of the emergency meeting.
(b) Personal Notification.
(1) Any person, organization or group wishing a notice of the monthly meetings shall request the same in writing from the Clerk of Council on forms provided and shall furnish stamped, self-addressed envelopes for such purpose.
(2) Any person, organization or group requesting advance notice of meetings at which any specific type of business shall be conducted or discussed, may obtain notice by requesting the same from the Clerk of Council on forms provided and shall furnish stamped, self-addressed envelopes.
