(a) Council hereby authorizes and directs the Director of Public Service and Safety to establish rules and regulations regarding the construction, location and maintenance of memorial park benches located on City property and within the City’s right-of-ways. The Director of Public Service and Safety is hereby further authorized and directed to amend said rules and regulations as needed.
(b) All memorial park benches located upon City property or within the City’s right-of-way shall be constructed and maintained in accordance with the rules and regulations established herein. Furthermore, no memorial park bench shall be erected on City property or within the City’s right-of-way without the approval and authorization of the Director of Public Service and Safety.
(c) Nothing in this section shall prevent any property owner from erecting any benches or structure on their own property, provided said benches and structures are in accordance with City ordinances and zoning regulations. (Ord. 8198-18. Passed 10-9-18.)
