1349.07  INSPECTION AND CERTIFICATE.
   (a)   Upon the completion of the installation of the electric wiring, devices and equipment which has been authorized by issuance of a permit, it shall be the duty of the person, firm or corporation installing the same to notify the Electrical Inspector, who shall inspect the installation within twenty-four hours of the time such notice is given, Saturday afternoons, Sundays and legal holidays excepted; and, if it is found to be fully in compliance with this Electrical Code and does not constitute a hazard to life and property, he shall issue to such person, firm or corporation for delivery to the owner, a final certificate of approval authorizing connection to the electrical service, the turning on of the current and the use of the installation, and shall send written notice of such authorization to the public utility corporation furnishing the electric service.  A preliminary certificate may be issued authorizing the connection and use of certain specified portion of an uncompleted installation.  A preliminary certificate shall be revocable at the discretion of the Electrical Inspector.
 
   (b)   If upon inspection the installation is not found to be fully in compliance with this Code, the Electrical Inspector shall at once forward to the person, firm or corporation installing the wiring, a written notice stating the defects which have been found to exist.  Failure to correct the defects set forth within fifteen days after notification thereof shall automatically and without further notice stop the issuance of permits to the person responsible until the corrections have been made and approved and terminate the violator's license for a period of one year.
 
   (c)   When any part of a wiring installation is to be hidden from view by the permanent placement of parts of the building, the person, firm or corporation installing the wiring shall notify the Electrical Inspector and such part of the wiring installation shall not be concealed until they have been inspected or until twenty-four hours (exclusive of Saturday afternoon, Sundays and legal holidays) shall have lapsed from the time of such notifications, providing that on large installations where the concealment of parts of the wiring proceeds continuously, the person, firm or corporation installing the wiring shall give the Electrical Inspector due notice and inspections shall be made periodically during the progress of the work.
