(a) The following devices permitted for off-premises use are:
(1) Billboards
(2) Wall signs
(b) The following regulations shall apply for Billboards.
(1) No new billboard construction shall be permitted between Northern most Border of the Trinity Steel Properties and Interstate 80.
(2) Any existing billboard locations are grandfathered.
(3) Any new billboard construction between Northern most Border of the Trinity Steel Properties and the Northern city boundary shall be limited to a spacing of five hundred (500) feet in any direction between billboards.
(4) Any new billboard construction between Interstate 80 and the Southern city boundary shall be limited to a spacing of five hundred (500) feet in any direction between billboards.
(5) Any new billboard construction in any other Business, Commercial/Industrial zoned area shall be limited to a spacing of five hundred (500) feet in any direction between billboards.
(6) Billboards may only be erected in a Business, Commercial/Industrial zoned area.
(7) All Billboards shall be set back twenty five (25) feet from the right of way line.
(8) Height of new billboard construction shall be limited to but not to exceed twenty five (25) feet overall where permitted as outlined in subsection (b)(3) and (b)(4) hereof.
(9) Height of any other billboard constructed in a Business, Commercial/Industrial zoned area shall be limited to but not to exceed one hundred twenty (120) feet overall.
(10) Billboards shall be no more than two hundred twenty (220) square feet in size.
(11) Billboards shall have no more than two faces.
(12) Billboards may be illuminated, but subject to provisions outlined in Section 1330.05.
(13) Prior to construction of a billboard, application for a permit shall be made to the Zoning Inspector or City Engineer. Any existing permit fees and information required for said permit shall still apply. Applicant must provide a copy of a contract with the property owner where said billboard shall be erected.
(c) The following regulations shall apply for Wall signs.
(1) Shall not exceed one sign per wall and such signs shall be limited to the walls which can be viewed from the public streets or highways.
(2) Shall be framed and not protrude past any wall or roof:
(3) Painted wall signs are prohibited.
(4) Shall not exceed sixty (60) square feet in sign area per sign.
(5) In the business district between Gordon St. and Interstate 80, wall signs shall be limited to a spacing of one thousand (1000) feet in any direction between each sign.
(6) Wall sign construction in any other Business, Commercial/Industrial zoned area shall be limited to a spacing of five hundred (500) feet in any direction between each sign.
(7) May be illuminated, but subject to provisions outlined in Section 1330.05.
(8) Prior to construction of a wall sign, application for a permit shall be made to the Zoning Inspector or City Engineer. Any existing permit fees and information required for said permit shall still apply. Applicant must provide a copy of a contract with the property owner where said sign shall be erected.
