All aluminum siding installation in the City shall be grounded to secure a safety factor so as to better protect public safety, health and general welfare. All aluminum siding installation shall be installed in compliance with the following:
(a) The entire perimeter of structure to be grounded on opposite ends.
(1) Ground to street side of water meter.
(2) Ground to nearest cold water line for opposite end grounding.
(3) Install ground jumper for "c" to street side of water meter.
(Note: 3/4" ground rod driven into ground eight feet will be allowed by special permission of the Building Inspector.)
(b) Material approved:
(1) Aluminum mesh 2' x 10';
(2) 1/4" Cadmium plated bolt;
(3) 1/4" Pan head aluminum screws;
(4) #6 ground wire.
(5) Ground clamps to water pipes;
(6) Rod 3/4" x 8'.
