Whoever violates any provision of the Residential Building Code shall be fined not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) or imprisoned not more than six months, or both. Each day any violation of the Residential Building Code or of any lawful order, direction or instruction issued under the authority granted by such Code shall continue shall constitute a separate offense.
