Any person, firm or corporation who violates or fails to comply with any provision of this chapter shall be guilty of a first degree misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not more than one-thousand dollars ($1,000) or imprisoned for a period not to exceed six months, or both. Each day any violation of any provisions of this chapter shall continue shall constitute a separate offense.
