(a) All delivery personnel, including letter carriers, whether employed by a private firm or government agency or government-supported corporation, shall only use sidewalks or accepted and approved walkways and shall not traverse lawns or other private or public land not normally used as a walkway by the general public in order to effect delivery; provided, however, that absent notice from the landowner to the contrary, it shall be presumed that U.S. Post Office carriers and utility meter readers are authorized to traverse lawns.
(b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of criminal trespass, a misdemeanor of the fourth degree.
