(A) In the event that any residence, place of business or other establishment to the town sewer system shall become completely vacant and uninhabited for a continuous and uninterrupted period in excess of 90 days, the sewer use charge adopted pursuant to § 51.05 shall abate after the ninetieth day of the vacancy, and shall not be collected during any vacancy in excess of 90 days; provided, all other provisions of this section are complied with.
(B) In order to avoid the 90-day sewer use charge for vacancies, it shall be the burden of the owner of any residence, place of business or other establishment connected to the town sewer or any responsible person for the payment of the same, to report the date of termination of sewer usage and any period of vacancy to the town office on a form provided therefor. The form shall contain a sworn certified statement as to the period of service usage.
(C) It is unlawful and deemed to be a misdemeanor for anyone to furnish false or misleading information to the town staff concerning the usage or non-usage of any town-provided public utility, and punishable by a fine not to exceed $250.
