A. Unless otherwise specified in this chapter, any person, firm or corporation who violates, neglects, or refuses to comply with this chapter, or who resists or opposes the enforcement of any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined not less than one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) and, for each subsequent offense, shall be assessed a fine of not less than two hundred dollars ($200.00) nor more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00), and such person shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each and every day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
B. In addition to such fine(s), any person found guilty of violating this chapter shall be ordered to pay any and all expenses incurred by any person or entity arising from such violation including, but not limited to, costs and fees incurred with respect to the capture, care, examination, treatment, storage, or disposal of an animal, which costs may include, for example, shelter, food, veterinary expenses, and any other related expenses.
