5-2-4-6: PENALTIES:
   A.   Upon conviction of an offense of this section 5-2-4, the court shall assess a fine of not less than two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) nor more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00). Each day a violation continues shall constitute a separate offense. Additionally, any person found guilty of violating this section 5-2-4 in a manner that requires the dog be impounded or destroyed shall also pay all expenses including shelter, food, veterinary expenses, and other expenses necessitated by the seizure of the dog for the protection of the public, and such other expenses as may be required for the destruction of any such dog.
   B.   It shall be unlawful for the owner, keeper or harborer of a vicious dog registered with the village to fail to comply with the requirements and conditions set forth in this section. Any vicious dog found to be the subject of a violation of this section shall be subject to immediate seizure and impoundment. In addition, failure to comply may result in the revocation of the license of such animal resulting in the immediate removal of the animal from the village. (Ord. 708, 9-13-2012)
