A. No person shall have abandoned, unattended, or discarded any refrigerator or other similar appliance which has an airtight door or lid with a snap lock or other locking device on any lot or in any structure within the village. (Ord. 653, 3-11-2010; amd. 2012 Code)
B. Any authorized village personnel charged with the enforcement of this section may order, in writing or orally, any person in violation of this section to promptly comply with the requirements of this section. After the expiration of twenty four (24) hours and the failure of such person to comply with the order or the identity or whereabouts of such person has not been ascertained, the door or lid shall be removed from the refrigerator or appliance by the village, and the cost thereof shall be charged to that person.
