(a) The Geneva Youth Travel Basketball Board shall only oversee the travel portion of the Geneva Basketball Recreation program.
(b) Geneva Youth Travel Basketball try-outs will always be conducted with time for placement if needed in the Geneva Youth Basketball Recreational League.
(c) Geneva Youth Travel Basketball Board members and coaches shall have a background check yearly.
(d) Geneva Youth Travel Basketball Mission is the following:
(1) Develop the total athlete;
(2) Provide continuity in our youth travel basketball program (skills, uniforms, etc); and
(3) Teach the fundamentals and provide a competitive atmosphere in order to keep high school programs consistently competitive.
(e) Geneva Youth Travel Basketball specific social media accounts shall be overseen by the Board to drive awareness and interest in the league.
(f) Geneva Youth Travel Basketball shall have access to the City of Geneva website to drive awareness and interest.
(g) Geneva Youth Travel Basketball insurance and coaches background checks will be covered by the City.
(h) Geneva Youth Travel Basketball coaches will provide the City a breakdown of all expenses and all money processing will be handled by the City.
(i) Geneva Youth Travel Basketball Board is created with the intent to improve the structure and interest of Geneva area third through sixth grade participants.
(1) The team is allowed to have participants from outside of Geneva but Geneva School and/or area participants cannot be excluded from the team for a participant who resides outside of Geneva and does not attend Geneva schools.
(j) Geneva Youth Travel Basketball Board will make every attempt to make sure that practice space is defined and available equally for all teams within reason.
(k) Geneva Youth Travel Basketball teams will occasionally receive donations, these donations will be included in the coach's expense report that is provided to the City. Team specific donations will not be shared across the league.
(l) Geneva Youth Travel Basketball donations for the league will be split equally and updated on each team's expense report.
