(a) In order to provide a sufficient number of Auxiliary Police Force members pursuant to Section 159.02, the Mayor is hereby authorized to hire Auxiliary Police Force trainees. Such trainees shall take such training, perform such functions and have such duties as directed by the Mayor and the Chief of Police.
(b) An Auxiliary Police Force trainee shall be a trainee for a maximum of six months, at which time, if the person has successfully completed the trainee program, he or she shall become an Auxiliary Police Force member. (Ord. 2744. Passed 8-13-96.)
(c) The rate of pay for Auxiliary Police Force trainees shall be as established from time to time by Council.
