(a) Council hereby establishes the office of Building Official in and for the Village.
(b) The position of part-time Building Inspector is hereby established to assist the Building Official, from time to time, in the performance of his or her duties under these Codified Ordinances. He or she shall report to the Building Official and shall perform such duties as shall be assigned to him or her from time to time by the Building Official, the Mayor and Council.
(c) The Building Official and part-time Building Inspector shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to confirmation and approval by Council, and shall receive for their services rendered as such, the fees and compensation that Council shall, from time to time, establish.
