(A) At the first meeting following general election, or as soon thereafter as is practicable, the Council, by majority vote may appoint the following officers:
(1) Village Clerk;
(2) Village Attorney;
(3) Village Treasurer; and
(4) Village Engineer.
(B) From time to time thereafter, the Council may create, fill and discontinue other officers in accordance with its judgment, the needs of the municipality and consistent with Illinois law, as amended.
