(A) On land hereafter annexed to the village, no structures shall be erected, enlarged or moved and no change in the use of land, or existing structures shall be made until an amendment to this chapter designating the zoning district classification of the annexed land is duly adopted by the Village Council; provided that if no such ordinance has been so adopted within 120 days after the land is annexed the annexed land shall be automatically classified as R-1 Single-Family Detached Residence District.
(B) The Village Council shall, either before or not later than 60 days after any land is annexed, file in the office of the Village Clerk an application for an amendment to this chapter establishing zoning district classifications for the land.
