(A) The Gardner Village Council hereby establishes the commencement date for the terms of newly elected municipal officers as the earlier of May 1 or the first regular or special meeting in the month of May immediately following a regular municipal election.
(B) The inauguration of the newly elected officers shall coincide with the commencement date as set forth above.
(C) This section has been adopted pursuant to and in accordance with the provisions of § 3.1-10-15 of the Illinois Municipal Code (65 ILCS 5/3.1-10-15), as amended.
(D) This section shall become effectively immediately following its passage and approval as required by law.
