(A) It shall be unlawful and punishable as a misdemeanor for any person to possess, have under his control, distribute, sell, or give away marijuana or cannabis, unless pursuant to a license or prescription as provided in M.C.L.A. § 333.7301. It shall be unlawful to use marijuana or cannabis, as so defined, except pursuant to a prescription. (‘83 Code, § 136.01)
(B) No person shall unlawfully use narcotic or dangerous drugs or their derivatives or barbituric acid or derivative or mixtures, compound, or preparation thereof. Any such unlawful use shall be deemed a violation of this chapter. (‘83 Code, § 136.08)
(C) Pursuant to Public Act 279 of 1909, as amended, M.C.L.A. § 117.3(k), the City of Garden City hereby adopts by reference M.C.L.A. § 750.474 prohibiting the illegal transport of marijuana.
