No person shall be in possession of any policy or pool tickets, slips or checks, memoranda, or any combination, or other bet, manifold, or other policy, or pool books or sheets, or of any such articles, or of any other implements, apparatus or materials or any other form of gaming. Any and all such articles may be confiscated and destroyed by the police department of the city, or used in evidence in any prosecution for violation.
