§ 36.65 BOARD OF TRUSTEES; BOARD MEMBERSHIP; TERMS.
   (A)   The Retirement System Board of Trustees is continued. The Board shall be vested with the power to administer, manage, and operate the retirement system, and to make effective the provisions of this chapter.

   (B)   The Board of Trustees shall consist of five trustees, as follows.
      (1)   Two members of the Council to be appointed by the Mayor by and with the consent of the Council.
      (2)   A citizen who is a resident and taxpayer of the city, and who is neither an official of the city nor eligible to participate in the retirement system as a member or retirant, to be appointed by the Mayor by and with the consent of the Council.
      (3)   A police officer or firefighter member to be elected by the police officer and fire fighter members; and a member who is neither a police officer nor firefighter member to be elected by the members who are neither police officer nor fire fighter members.
   (C)   (1)   Such elections shall be held under such rules and regulations as the Board shall adopt.
      (2)   After the first election, the regular term of the trustees provided for in § 36.65(B)(2) and (3) shall be five years. The Council trustees shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor during their tenure of office.
