§ 155.115 PURPOSE.
   (A)   The purpose of the Historic Institutional District is to recognize that institutions such as colleges have special developmental needs and land use requirements. Kenyon College forms an integral part of the community; the development of the campus in this district has included reverent acknowledgment of the college’s special history, historic buildings and the impact of these special qualities on the remainder of the village. Kenyon College intends to safeguard those characteristics as viewed from the public ways and otherwise, and it is therefore the intent of the Historic Institutional District to provide for the protection, and where necessary the continued growth of the college, and to allow for future development consistent with the existing areas.
   (B)   All uses in this district are also governed by the requirements set forth within §§ 155.015 through 155.024 and 155.035 through 155.048 of this chapter.
