§ 32.02 PURCHASE ORDER PROCEDURES.
   (A)   Purchase in the amount of $0.01 to $249.99 will require a purchase order signed/or initialed by the said department supervisor.
   (B)   Purchases in the amount of $250 to $499.99 will require a purchase order which will need to be signed and/or initialed by the liaison of said department or another Town Council member if the liaison is unavailable.
   (C)   Purchases in the amount of $500 or more will require Town Council approval either in a regular or special meeting prior to the purchase.
   (D)   Purchases in the amount of $500 to $5,000 by the Water/Wastewater Department will require a purchase order which will need to be signed by two Town Board members and cleared with the Clerk-Treasurer’s office prior to the purchase.
   (E)   Purchases in the amount of $5,000 or more for the Water/Wastewater Department will require Town Council approval either in a regular or special meeting prior to the purchase.
   (F)   All purchases are subject to available funds and should be cleared with the Clerk-Treasurer’s office prior to the purchase.
   (G)   The purchaser must take measures to assure that sales tax is not added to any purchase. If sales tax is charged to the town, the user will be responsible for the removal of the tax or be required to pay such taxes. If the purchaser has provided personal funds to make the transaction and taxes have been applied, no reimbursement will be given to the purchaser for the sales tax.
   (H)   Receipts detailing the items purchased are required as documentation of all purchases. Charge slips without detailing charges are not considered valid documentation, and amounts charged will be the responsibility of the purchaser. Receipts and/or other documentation supporting the charges must be submitted in a timely fashion to the Clerk-Treasurer’s office and cannot be paid until documentation has been submitted.
   (I)   Gasoline purchases for the town-owned vehicles and equipment are not included in this section, but are addressed in § 32.05.
