4-9-2: PURPOSE:

Whereas one of the duties of government is to protect the public health, safety and welfare of its citizens, the Gallup city council recognizes environmental tobacco smoke as detrimental to the public health and declares as the purpose of this chapter to protect the public health and safety by prohibiting smoking in indoor public places and indoor workplaces. (Ord. 2007-09, 8-14-2007)
