AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GALLUP ADOPTING THE 2021 INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE REGARDING PROPERTY MAINTENANCE FOR THE CITY OF GALLUP

AMENDING TITLE 9 CHAPTER 3 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF GALLUP; ADOPTING THE 2021 INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE AS THE OFFICIAL PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF GALLUP

BE IT ORDAINED by the governing body of the City of Gallup that:

Section 1. Title 9, Chapter 3, Section 9-3-1 of the Municipal Code of the City of Gallup is amended to read:

“9-3-1: ADOPTION OF THE INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE:

There is hereby adopted by the City Council that certain property code with penalties therein prescribed, known as the International Property Maintenance Code 2021 edition. As of the effective date of this chapter, the provisions of said code shall be controlling within the corporate limits of the city.”

Section 2. REPEAL:  Title 9, Chapter 3, Sections 9-3-1 of the Municipal Code of the City of Gallup, New Mexico as they existed prior to the effective date of this Ordinance are hereby repealed.

Section 3. This ordinance shall be effective after publication by title and summary as provided by law.
