It shall be unlawful for any person or firm to engage in the business or occupation of trimming, treating or removing trees within the City without first applying for and procuring a license from the
Safety-Service Director
or his designee. The license fee shall be twenty-five dollars ($25.00) annually and paid in advance; provided, that no license shall be required of the City of any public service agencies or its employees. Before any license is issued, each applicant shall first file evidence of possession of Workers’ Compensation coverage and of liability insurance in the minimum amounts of five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) for bodily injury and one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) for property damage, and such coverage and insurance shall be maintained during the time such license is in effect.
