§ 150.127 REGISTRATION.
   (A)   Fee; insurance. Any person desiring to engage in the installation of mechanical and/or fuel gas equipment shall first register with the City Clerk and pay a registration fee of $100, which registration to be renewed annually. No person shall be allowed to register unless he or she shall deposit with the City Clerk evidence of insurance issued to him or her for the full period of registration, which insurance to be in the amount of $50,000, for property damage, $100,000 for personal injury to one person and $300,000 for personal injury to more than one person.
   (B)   Bond. No person shall install any mechanical and/or fuel gas equipment of the type mentioned in this subchapter without first furnishing a continuous surety bond made out to the city in the amount of $5,000. A minimum of 30 days notification must be provided to the City Clerk’s Office before this bond may be cancelled.
   (C)   Certain persons excepted. The provisions of this section shall not apply to an owner or occupant of a single-family dwelling who installs the heating in the dwelling occupied by him or her.
   (D)   Revocation. For violation of this subchapter the registration of an installer may be revoked by the City Manager, upon recommendation of the Inspector, the revocation to be subject to review by the City Council.
