§ 93.20 EXTRATERRITORIAL CONTRACT FIRE PROTECTION.
   (A)   Upon orders from the Fire Chief, or his or her designee, the Fire Department is authorized to respond outside the corporate limits of the city for the purpose of rendering aid to other fire departments, extinguishing fires or rendering aid in case of accidents. Where the city has undertaken by contract to render service to property outside the corporate limits, the Fire Department may leave the corporate limits in the fulfillment of the contract.
   (B)   The Fire Department of the city is authorized and empowered to take firefighters and equipment of the city outside the corporate limits thereof, but not exceeding two miles beyond the corporate limits, for the purposes of reducing and extinguishing fires in buildings or on premises owned by persons, firms or corporations which have contracted with the city for fire protection for the premises as described in division (C) below.
   (C)   The City Manager and Fire Chief are authorized and empowered to enter into contracts with the owners of premises lying outside the city corporate limits, but within two miles from the limits, for the furnishing of fire protection there, on an annual basis beginning at a rate equal to $7 per $1,000 current assessed valuation as per the records of the County Tax Assessor, with a minimum fee of $100.
   (D)   The annual charges for services shall be payable in advance on the first day of the fiscal year of the city. There shall be no obligation to render fire protection service unless a contract has been executed for each fiscal year, the annual services paid for in advance and all arrearages or charges for past services paid in full.
