Police officers and other authorized personnel shall have the authority to mark with chalk the tires of vehicles parking in parking spaces as defined in this subchapter. It shall be unlawful for any persons other than a police officer or other authorized personnel to remove to tamper with any chalk mark made as set forth above while the subject vehicle remains in a parking space.
