It is hereby made the duty of the Street Superintendent to give a written notice to any person who now has constructed or maintained or who may hereafter construct or maintain any “nuisance” as defined in §§ 97.09 or 97.10 of this chapter to abate the same within 48 hours after the service of such notice and upon failure of such person to so remove or abate such nuisances after 48 hours' notice such person offending shall be subject to a fine and the Street Superintendent shall abate or remove such nuisance.
